Our socks are crafted from cotton and Merino wool blends that are made to last.
Our wool is gathered from Merino sheep in Turkey.
The wool shearing process is done by farmers without using any machines, so there is no physical harm to the sheep.
We use premium cotton for our socks, which makes them versatile, comfortable, and stretchy, ensuring a perfect fit every time.
This high-quality cotton provides a soft, luxurious feel against your skin while maintaining breathability and durability.
We combined organic cotton with supportive fibers to enhance shape and fit. Cotton provides a soft, breathable base, while polyamide and elastane ensure durability and a snug fit.
Our Merino wool blend pairs the natural softness, thermoregulation, and moisture-wicking abilities of Merino wool with elastane, polyester, and acrylic for added flexibility and durability.
No matter the season or activity, we have your feet covered.
*our recommendation
This knitting technique involves weaving loops of yarn on the inside of the fabric, creating a plush, absorbent, and cushioned texture ideal for enhanced comfort and moisture absorption. There are two types of terry styles:
Our full terry socks have cushioning throughout the entire sock, including the footbed, heel, and the leg portion.
These socks are ideal for activities that involve a lot of impact or prolonged standing. They also offer better warmth and are suitable for colder conditions.
Our half-terry socks are designed with strategically placed cushioning in high-stress areas only.
This style is often preferred for activities that require a combination of support and ventilation, such as running or hiking.
Lanolin is a naturally occurring wax that coats the wool of sheep, helping it become waterproof and withstand the harsh environment. It is comparable to the sebum that our bodies produce on our skin. This lanolin also has a particular signature smell – that is why, if you ever happened to try on a wool sweater, it probably smelled a bit like sheep to you. We remove lanolin and other impurities from our Merino wool to enhance its dyeability. This process also eliminates the "sheepy" odor, ensuring that our socks are not only colorful but also enjoyable to wear.
Mulesing is a controversial practice in the wool industry that involves the removal of folds of skin from the tail area of a sheep to prevent fly strike, a parasitic infection.
This procedure is usually done without anesthesia and has raised ethical concerns about animal welfare.
The Merino wool used in making Nordic socks has always been and will always be mulesing-free.
